I would like to say a big thank you to our outgoing Lady Captain, Ann Rabbitt, and her nonflexible working committee for all their input into the club to date! I would moreover like to thank all the members who took part in The Challenge and Burren Cups, the Regional Finals and Mixed Foursomes during 2017- unconfined wits for the club and hopefully we will take part in those competitions in 2018. We will protract with our Saturday and Monday competitions and endeavour to modernize on our handicaps! Glenlo Ladies are known for their friendliness and inclusiveness and I hope to maintain that as our motto going forward. New members are unchangingly welcomed with unshut arms. A word of appreciation must go to Gary Madden and his team in the Pro Shop. They are unchangingly so helpful to the Lady golfers. Also, to David Farrar and his team- you have to be commended on how wonderful a condition you maintain the golf course. I squint forward to seeing our new clubhouse rhadamanthine a reality in the near future. Prior to that Rory worked as General Manager of the 4* Castle Hotel Macroom in Cork and moreover spent time in Dubai, France and Australia. Whilst in Dubai Rory worked with the Jumeirah group of hotels and spent time in the flagship hotel the Burj Al Arab. Galway man Gerard Lawless is Executive Chairman of the Jumeirah Group.
